Woofferton Residential Home is situated in Woofferton, a small village only 5 minutes away from Ludlow
town centre.
The home is set in open countryside with beautiful views from the grounds and provides a first class care service for the elderly in a homely environment. Care is provided by a team of trained staff, who are dedicated to ensuring that all the needs of the residents are fully covered within the residential home. Residents are encouraged to make their own independent decisions and consider their own needs and wishes, being supported at all times by the care team as well as their own families. The home offers a full board policy with all meals being provided. Meals are freshly prepared in-house and take into account any special dietary requirements and requests of the residents. The existing 15-bed registration at Woofferton House is offered via 11 single rooms (10 of which are en-suite) and 2 double en-suite rooms. There is a separate lounge, sun room and dining area that is open for the use of all residents and all are encouraged to use this space and to participate in activities provided by the home.
Help is available 24 hours a day for the personal care needs of service users as and if required. A key aim of the home is to allow service users to live as independent a life as they choose and they are therefore encouraged to do as much for themselves as possible.
Upon admission to the home, an in-depth care plan is developed, detailing the needs and specific care requirements of each service user. This care plan is drawn up in consultation with the service user and his/her family or representatives to ensure that individual preferences are met. The care plan is reviewed on a monthly basis and will only be updated following consultation with the service user. In addition, service users comments and views on the general running of the home are invited on an on-going basis.
