At Woofferton House we provide many levels of care. Ranging from day care to permanent residential care.
Please contact us for further details on and to discuss any of the following options:
1) Day Care: Day assistance allows individuals to spend a day at the home and join the team and residents for lunch and/or dinner with the option of receiving various aspects of personal care (for example, assistance with bathing). This is a great facility for both the individual and any family member who is their carer. Being in the care industry we appreciate how demanding a task it is when caring for an individual. The day care facility gives such carers some time off and also allows the service user to meet with new people.
2) Short Term Respite: This is where a service user comes to stay with us for a short period of time (typically 1-4 weeks) for various reasons, including following a period of illness or hospitalisation (until they are fit and healthy enough to return home) or whilst their family members/usual carers are away from home.
3) Permanent Residential Care: This is where an individual needs 24 hour care and finds it difficult do things for themselves such as cook for themselves, bath themselves etc. In this scenario a permanent position will be required whereby the individual will permanently stay at the residential home. Although our team is on hand to make the transition into a care home as smooth and effortless as possible, this change can be very stressful and we therefore always suggest that a trial period is agreed, to ensure that the resident is happy moving into the residential home and that all their needs are assessed. At the end of the trial period the situation is reviewed and only with the agreement of the resident and their family is the permanent place confirmed.
